Parnelli Jones Mustang by Saleen

Parnelli Jones ans Steve Saleen raced together back in 1987 when Parnelli raced for the Saleen team,
and helped Steve Saleen win his first SCCA Manufacturer’s Championship at Sebring, Florida.
But Parnelli Jones is no newcomer to racing. He is a legend in the racing world, having won the Indy 500 in 1963,
and many many other races in his career. As far as Mustangs are concerned, the true Mustang enthusiast
connects Parnelli Jones with the 1970 SCCA Trans Am series which he won over the likes of Roger Penske
with Mark Donohue as his driver, Dan Gurney with his AAR 'Cudas, and many other professional racers.
This Mustang is a limited edition Mustang that recognizes that significant season.
The new Saleen / Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang comes in one color, Grabber Orange.
Period correct details include a black striped “shaker” hood, race-style hood pins, black trunk deck, and 302 side stripes.
Completing the overall effect, the new Limited Edition comes with Saleen performance styling including front fascia
with racing-style air dam, side skirts, rear fascia, rear 1970 replica wing, trunk insert license plate panel with
chrome trim, rear window quarter panels, and a racing-style billet gas cap.
Demonstrating further the authenticity of this retro-beauty, Parnelli’s racing number, 15,
removable and reusable static cling race decals, and the Ford blue oval are displayed
– just like the one that appeared on Parnelli’s 1970 Boss 302 Mustang.
Only 500 of these Parnelli Jones Mustangs will be produced! The low production numbers
are sure to keep these models exclusive and valuable. A modified 302 three valve engine is installed
courtesy of Steve Saleen, which produces 370 Horsepower.
Other retro touches include special gauges and seat inserts in the interior of this Parnelli Jones Mustang.
You better get your orders in now before all 500 are accounted for! A true collectors item!
